Pedestrian struck by motorist in marked crosswalk while jogging at dawn, resulting in major orthopedic trauma. 

Bicyclist was riding in a Class II bike lane on Highway 9 between Saratoga and Los Gatos when he was hit by a motorist making a left turn from the oncoming direction of traffic. Bicyclist suffered an acromioclavicular (AC) joint injury, concussion, and other injuries. Policy limits settlements were obtained from the driver as well as the client’s underinsured motorist coverage.

Plaintiff was hit from behind by a drunk driver. Plaintiff suffered an elbow injury (bursitis) requiring surgery under general anesthesia. Plaintiff is a contractor and the injury impacted his ability to work. After filing suit, the case settled for the driver’s $100,000 policy limits.

$150,000 settlement for Plaintiff who alleged that Defendant orthopedist was negligent in the performance of a meniscus surgery. Plaintiff alleged that he suffered a foot drop as a result of the negligence.

After filing suit, the matter settled at mediation for $71,500.

Plaintiff, a patron in a San Francisco bar, was battered by another patron. Plaintiff suffered a concussion and broken nose. The case against the bar and the other patron settled before trial.

Bicyclist crashed after hitting pothole caused by defective roadway repair. Investigation identified the contractor responsible for the defective repair. The case resolved in a settlement.

Bicyclist in Marin was riding his bicycle when he was hit by an unlicensed driver who failed to yield. The bicyclist suffered a fractured wrist and a broken collarbone. The case settled for the driver’s $50,000 policy limits.

Plaintiff and Defendant were neighbors, living in the same building in San Francisco. Both were in the garage unloading their cars when Defendant’s German Shepherd jumped out of Defendant’s vehicle and jumped up on Plaintiff, knocking her to the ground. Plaintiff suffered a laceration to her head and a bite to her back. After filing suit, Defendant’s automobile insurance carrier paid the $50,000 policy limits.

Plaintiff was rear-ended in a low-speed accident. Plaintiff alleged a tailbone injury causing long-term damage. Defendant disputed the cause of the injury but settled for $47,000.
